First fish has ick

I set up my new 75 gallon tank a few weeks ago, and now it has cycled, and I added one domino damsel, and an arrow crab. I noticed yesterday the damsel is covered in white dots, that he didn't have when I got him. It is definitely ick, and I am setting up a QT tank right now. It is 10 gallons and I will leave it empty with maybe a pvc pipe or something. For ick should I just put him in the QT tank and wait it out? Or is there anything special i can do to treat him faster? Thanks in advance for help!!

Now that you have a QT, put to good use in the future and always quarantine your fish before adding them to the display.

Dido what Beth said, also ick eggs can come on anything you add to your DT. Mine came in on live rock lost 8 of my 9 fish. I recommend QT everything for at least 8 weeks.
