First Fish

I added my clean up a week ago. Everything has been ok except 2 snails fell victim to the blue leg hermits. I have one big hermit who seems to be a lil bit of a bully

How much longer should i wait to add a fish? The crew seems to be enjoying the algae.

Your hermits could have killed for the shells of the snails. If there are no larger shells for them to move in to as they grow they will take out a snail for theirs. Make sure you have some extra empty shells around the tank to help prevent this from happening. I didnt have any extra shells at first and when I put some in the tank, I would say almost half of them upgraded to the new ones.

wats up drew, im heading over to fish town today for my first fish and some more clean up crew members. im gonna get some hermits, another shrimp, and some more snails. i would say ur in the clear and u can go ahead and add a fish now. what are u lookin for as ur first addition? im pretty sure inverts dont add alot to ur bioload so that shouldnt be a big problem. make sure ur heaters are workin good too, because i didnt realize that when i added a fish few weeks ago, my temp went from 76-84 during the day. now it stays around 79-80 all day long.
