First jumper! now covered in cat hair!!help!

Hey all..just witnessed my first fish leap out of the tank,my midas fell behind the tank,i got him back in really quick..but since hes wet and i have 3 cats,hes now got a ton of cat hair wrapped/sticking to him...can this get into his gills or will he rub it off somehow..ack..im so worried for the little guy!! Hes my fave so if i hadnt been here when he jumped id have been heartbroken

EDIT:hes ajust now gotten alot of it off *phew* i was really worried...hopefully the fall didnt damage him too bad ...

It's a catfish....do what I do, use a lint roller on him.

Just kidding, glad he's alright. I have yet to encounter a suicide jumper.

My midas jumped onto a greasy garage floor once. He was covered in dusty stuff, but it came off. Might want to cover that tank.

I just lost my Diamond Goby last night. He managed to jump out and get through the half inch openings in my eggcrate. Found his dried up little body this morning

I have my tank covered and I also have lost a couple fish to the art of *carpet surfing

It amazes me how they can jump through 1/2 inch openings..

I swear they must practice. or I have really bad luck. you should probably try and cover yours..eggcrate it or something. can't hurt.
