hi everybody
i purchased a 5 gallon tank with a filter and PC lighting (13 watt) about a month ago. It's been sitting on my sink since then :(. Any suggestions to where i should place it? Also, what is good to keep in here? i obviously want it to be a mini-reef so i was thinking about a bubbletip anenome and a false percula (the only fish) and then some corals. Any suggestions? If i add the perc, could i add one cleaner shrimp also? thx:D :D :D

Hmmm well Im sorry to say but you can't keep much. 13 watts is way to dim for any corals and 4 gallons is just too small for any kind of fish. You could get some shrimps and crabs or a feather duster but not much else. If your interested in getting into nano reefs I would purchase something bigger. If you did find away to upgrade the lighting, you could get some corals.
P.S. Even though your tank is to small for any type of fish, there are many cool shrimp. Heres a couple of ideas.
-a group of sexy shrimp
-pistol shrimp
-mantis shrimp
I hope that helped some.

I think 4 gallons is too small for a clown ... maybe a clown goby would work well.
I used to have a five with 13 watts of PC (doubled it to 26 watts)
I kept under 13 watts:
Shrooms, ricordea and a zoo. Ricordea @ the top. Zoo's survived OK - mushrooms did great!
For the 26 watts I kept a variety of stuff and it seemed to thrive and not just survive and grow and expand.
I would also suggest a shrimp goby and pistol shrimp pair for a tank that size.
The problem with an anemone in a tank that size is if ti moves it will sting and kill everything in its path.
Location?? do you have a post you spend a lot of time (desk area) I had it in my one daughter's bedroom.
