That eye does not look good on the zebra. Or is it just the pic.? I love zebra's. That was my first eel along with a snowflake. Make sure you have "escape proofed" the tank.

It must be the picture, on the full size picture it looks clear; however, it might have gotten blurrier when I downsized it. His eyes are both crystal clear though

110 and yeah, I was suprised to find a volitan that small but since they grow so quick I'm sure he'll be growing quickly in the coming months! :thinking:

Does anyone know whether this is actually a volitan lion? I have heard that sometimes fish stores sell other species as volitans and I wasn't sure whether there was a way to tell now?

i suppose it does look similar to a russels lion but im not sure, wait for lion_crazz and v lioness

It is a Volitan, Russel's have no black at all in their tail and anal fins. Very cute, very tiny guy. I have a baby Black Volitan that I bought a bit larger than that one and it has already grew an inch in a month. It eats very well! Congrats on both new inhabitants. Love Zebras and Lions!
