Hello Reefers,
My BTA split on Wednesday! I was glad to have fed it a couple of days prior. Seems like it would have needed the extra energy. It took about 9 hours for it to split. I thought it looked funny when the lights came on. It was really spread out thin. Then, I noticed it stretching more and more. Got to take some pics of the base splitting. I had a hard time taken the pic on top of the water. I kept getting the reflection of the bulbs. I tried moving the bulbs away and putting cardboard in front of the bulbs.
The female still goes in the one in the front. I thought maybe she would let the male use the back one. But, he still sleeps inside this big hole below the front one. She was having fun going from one to the other when they were splitting!

I wish I could afford a better camera but it was a treat to watch it!
