My tank is two years old and stupid me I put a royal gramma in without QT first. After 3 weeks, I can see as of this afternoon he has ick. Been hiding since yesterday, and did not eat yesterday. . .
Looks like the clown is starting to get it too, but he is acting normal. At this point, the Pajama cardinal looks clean.
Just want to double check before I start tomorrow -
My plan is to move the fish to a QT for treatment for the next several weeks. I need to move all three fish to the QT, correct? I am pretty sure the answer is yes - all fish have to be removed for it to die out in the main tank. Do I need to do anything with the cleaner shrimp, crabs, or snails in the main tank? If I remove the three fish, as I understand it the ich will die out in the main tank over the next 7-8 weeks while I am treating the fish in the QT, or is there something else I need to do to the main tank while the fish are in the QT? The main tank will be left with LS, LR (and whatever is living in it), several feather tubes, crabs, snails, and a cleaner shrimp.
Thanks!
Brian
