So here is the situation. I currently have all my fish in a QT tank for a month and have treated for ich. They have been in QT for 18 days now and there are no signs of ich and all are acting normal. I decided that I would buy a fish to replace two that were lost to ich and qt him for the remaining twelve days. I went out and purchased a blonde naso. He has been in the tank for five days now and has been eating and acting normal until this morning. I woke up and turned the lights on and he was really dark and looked as he does every morning. I let them kinda wake up for 1/2 hour and then fed them, he ate a bit but seemed really slugish. I went and got ready for work and looked at the tank again and he was kinda laying on his side. He swam around a bit and then laid down again. When I left he was laying on his side. His color is fine and I see no other problems. he is breathing fine and looked perfect except the laying on his side and sluggish nature. What could this be?
1.022 sq
0.0 ammonia
0.0 nitrite
20-30 ppm nitrate (do a 15-25% water change a week, alot of fish in a 20gal)
8.2 pH
thanks

Alot of fish in a small tank will cause a great deal of stress. Never ever go out and get new fish while you have fish in QT.
How are you treating the ich?

Beth,
I am treating with copper. I had a bad outbreak and was afraid that is I didn't start treatment all the fish would die. Copper was the only treament that was almost immediate.
