Fish acting weird?!?!?

Hi. My fish have been acting pretty strange lately and would like to know what it could be. My two tangs have been scrapping themselves on my live rock and my lion fish is constantly "scratching" himself with his fins. At first I thought that it was all the bubbles from my powerhead bothering them but when I turned it off they were still doing the same thing. Is this normal or could it be that they are sick or something???

I'd start getting ready to treat for ich. Get a good light on them and give them a good look, especially the clear fins.
Added anything new lately (last month or two)?

go buy a 55 gallon tank, a $20 HOB filter, a refractometer (you should already have this), and a cheap light (a regular light bulb will do. set it up for hyposalinity. search this site for it.

well found out that it is ich and would like to know how to get rid of it......i heard about cleaner shrimp and garlic routines but do these work and if they dd remove ich from my fish will they get it again?.......oh due to money shortages right now i cant buy QT for any type of treatment that requires me to isolate the fish from the main tank and i cannot use the coppersafe treatment as well for i have some coral......and will ich attack work???

well, for the tangs I would soak their food in kent garlic. that should work well, but for the other fish idk what you can treat them with. I would say to wait it out unless you can treat them with the garlic 2. tangs r usually easier to dose because they will eat algae sheets, but idk what the others eat so try this method. then if all else fails, try a freshwater dip. just dip your fish in freshwater for a few seconds n that should make the parasites fall off, but the fish will be fine.

Post this in the Disease forum. Your basicially going to NEED to do hypo. Even if you get the parasites off of the fish ick is still living in the tank, substrate, etc.
