fish and coloration

hello all.
so i have been maintaining a 200gal fresh water for years, i decided after some time to go salt. ive been reading and talking about it for way too long so i found myself a 55 gal. which i have been slowly setting up, about 5 months or so of empty tank no worries besides all kinds of crazy lifeforms popping up from the live sand and rock i have not invested to much in the set up other than about 25 lbs rock over a few trips to this awesome little shop, and a 2 snails. i finally decided to go with a three stripe damsel as the first fish, basically because it was cheap and my lady liked it ok im easy. its been about 1 1/2 months
i have noticed these past 2 or 3 days that the color is getting darker not all that impressive compared to what i've seen. so what is this caused by most likely. i know some say not to start with the damsel but what is done is done. besides i kinda like its attitude.

could be a number of things...diet,lighting,stressed,wat are ur water parameters.wat kind of equipment do u have.wat are u feeding. listing these things will get u a more accurate sollution....damsels are pretty hardy so i wouldn't be to worried....i'd be more worried about the water parameters..
