....OK heres the case ...my striped fijji damsels were very aggressive and i put a dwarf lionfish in with them. Both damsels would get right up in his face and slap him with their tails and they would continue until he started
moving...Lionfish died suddenly and i went on to a baby dragon wrasse. They killed him in a day. I go out to ship island (GULF OF MEXICO) and caught a bunch of inverts and 2 MOLLY MILLER blennies.I put them in my tank and my damsels chased EM' all over. I go to the pet store and bought a LH cowfish...i acclimated him and put him in and hes fine but the damsels still hit all my other fish and inverts with their tails.CAN anyone tell me what they might be doing???

why are the damsels still in your tank? id take them out and try to take them to a pet store. those guys are aggressive and will cause you trouble.

I agree,THE DAMSELS MUST GO. You will never be able to put anything else in that tank yill they are gone....Even if this means removing the rock.

The damsels have to go. To answer your question, the damsels are letting everyone in the tank know who the "Bosses" are; they are protecting their territory.
The cowfish will most likely stay stressed with the damsels acting that way and that, I believe will make it that much harder for the cowfish to battle the Ich. If you want to keep the damsels you can try to move some things around the tank to "confuse" them but I wouldn’t count on that working too much. I would take out the damsels...

first off, slow down. over how long did you add al these fish? the damsels are going to continue to be the agressors in the tank until you take them out. if you have to take out the lr do it. have they killed any inverts? what size tank do you have? take out the damsels. bo

The damsels are just being damsels, they need to go if you are going to have anything else in your tank that will have a chance to live. They are just mean SOB. Good Luck

First let me say that I am sorry that you are having trouble with your damsels. I have a blue damsel that is the exact same way. He just thinks he's the boss. The thought of having to take out all the LR can cause some anxiety but look at it this way, this just gives you the opportunity to rearrange your tank and who knows, you might really like the change. I agree that your cowfish will continue to be stressed as long as the damsels are in there. I think that you will be much happier when they are gone. Good luck.
