Fish Compatibility

Hi everyone,
I have a 55 gal. tank, that will be a FOWL. I have only 10lbs of LR at the moment but, will add more in the future.
My question is:
Against everyones' advice, I cycled my tank with 2 domino damsels, and 2 yellow tail damsels.
I am planning on taking back the yellow tail damsels and keeping the dominos...
Is this a good idea? I've read that dominos can be/are aggressive. I would like to purchase a yellow tang, 2-4 perc. clowns, and some cleaner shrimp.
Is this a good combo or will the domino damsels bother everyone?
Thanks for the help....

chances are that at a minimum your clowns will be hounded by the damsels. Myself along with many others on this BB are not big fans of damsels. I hope it works out either way.

I had a yellow-tailed blue damsel in my 20 Gallon all by himself. When I added a pair of f. perc. clowns, the damsel pestered them all day until one of the shy clowns came down with brooklynella and died. The other clown got sick too, but I got the damsel out and treated him and he pulled through. Damsels tend to be big bullies, and it's always a risk throwing anything else in there.
Also, those dominoe's will get quite large when they get older (4"-5" I think), which would limit you in what other fish you can add and not overcrowd your tank. If I were you I'd ditch the damsels, your clowns will thank you! :)

Thanks for the advise, I will take back the damsels to the LFS, invest in more LR and get some clowns and a tang...

also, black damsels lose there color when they get older. imo they look ugly. just something to keep in mind.
