I have had a clown fish for 5 yrs now and he does not grow; he is in a 75 gallon tank all by himself except 100# of live rock and a few cleaner crabs and snails. Any suggestions?
People are so afraid of polluting the tank, they don't feed enough, and the fish are stunted as a result.
While I doubt any of our captive fish will reach ocean sizes, we should make sure they get enough nutritious food to grow when they are babies. Flake, pellets and brine shrimp are not good food choices. Feed your fish what they would eat in the ocean. Seeding the tank with tasty treats of amphipods, (good) isopods and ghost shrimp will help a great deal...live food is great to give to them.
