Fish Dying...HELP!!!

My fish have been dying every time I put them in.A total of 12 fish have died withen 5 months.Yesterday I found this little thing on my clam.It was crawling and it had a purplish shell that just covers the top.It cant go in its shell.Its shell is like a hat.It has antennas and two dots for eyes.I thought it was a snail,but today it was spitting out slime all over.It is smallert than a dime,but spitting out like 6 inch diameter.I think it may be a sea squirt.I never bought it.And why do my fish all ways die.My LFS checks my water.I just cant keep them alive.

There sounds like there is definitly something wrong withnyour water quality. What are your readings?
What is your lighting? (for the clam)
What fish have died on you?
How large is your tank?
Any LR?
Any other inverts other then the clam..?

How long have you had the tank? are you adding iodine and any other needed chemicals? are you aclamating the fish for at least 30 min? For me its the opposite, my fish are living and my corals are dying. what is the nitrate, pH, ammonia, and nitrite in the water? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />
