Fish feeding

What do most saltwater fish eat? Are they omnivores, carnivores, or herbavores? What do you feed your saltwaer fish? Also what is "gut loading" feeder shrimps? Where do you keep your feeder shrimps? And do you have to thaw the frozen food before you feed it to them, or do you just feed it frozen? Thanks.

If you just research what fish you are going to buy, you will see what their feeding requirements are. I feed a mix of frozen Marine Cuizine, Frozen Mysis, Pellets, Brine Shrimp (don't feed to often, its like candy for the fish), and flake on occasion. The key to feeding fish is variety. I don't raise feeder shrimp, but gutloading them is feeding them good things, then the fish eat them and they get the nutrition of what your fed the shrimp. When feeding frozen food, you want to thaw it in a cup, then strain into a net (a brine shrimp net works well.) rinse it off. Then you feed, usually with a turkey baster to spot feed, or just float on the surface. If you have a herbivore, buy some Nori (seaweed) from a store, or buy Algae sheets from your LFS.
