Fish Food! Flakes or Shimp?

It is the strangest thing...
My LFS sold me a nice packet of frozen Mysis shimp to me when I bought my False Percula clown on last Saturday... Today a happened to be at a fish store so I picked up some Tetra Color Marine flakes. I fed it to my fish, expecting him to eat maybe one, and spit the others out like he does with the shrimp.... but he eats them so fast and eats so much! He likes the flake food more than the Mysis shimp... is this normal for a fish?
Thanks. :)

Hi, not sure but I believe that brine does not provide nutritional value and have heard them called fish candy. I use a combo of homemade food ( everything in the seafood isle ) and O.S.I flake food. The flakes provide vitamins that is not found in most foods. My clown loves the flakes and sometimes eats the seafood.

we feed ours a variey of foods, and some of the fish seem to like this better than that, but mix it up a bit after you find out their likes, and although some fish should like brine better, that is just a general rule, there will always be exceptions

i have decided on feeding my clown a variety of frozen brine soaked in ZOE and some seaweed selects although different clowns have different preferences you should find differnt foods that he likes and give him the most nutritional foods

Hey,
I have percs too and they love the flate more than the frozen. I bought the Formula One frozen (freeze dried version of formula one forzen) algae type food with a touch of protein.
All of my fish love it and prefer over anything else I feed them, including frozen. Make sure you still give them a little frozen once or twice a week and they will do great.
