My coral beauty keeps hovering and hanging out near the heater. Is this ok/normal? I'm scared my heater is sending off weird vibes or something. Is it possible my heater is damaged?
My clown fish and cleaner goby do not do this. Is this a sign that my coral beauty is sick? I've had all 3 fish for just over a week. No other fish in tank, just 2 snails. 30 gallons. Cycled over a year ago. Any input would help. Thanks

IMO the beauty is just adjusting to the surroundings. Just keep an eye on her to see if she develops ick.
She should settle down and start to explore the tank.
Have they been eating?

It's pretty normal. My clown has claimed that corner of the tank and has basically lived there for a year now.....no worries as long as your temp and trates are stable..

my clown does that
he hangs in the upper corner right by the heater. if you look at a certain angle, you can see the "heat waves" flowing upward. he seems to swim in those

My dwarf lionfish hangs out behind the powerhead in the corner all the time. Only one other fish in the tank with him, a Blue Devil Damsel. He likes that spot. I think it gives him a gentle massage.

He perches on top of the rocks when he's waiting for dinner though.

glad to hear that this isn't a problem. The beauty has a very good apetite as do the other fish. They all look and act perfectly fine. Just was curious as to whether this was a slow developing problem. Thanks so much for all your replies and input!!!
