I have recently started an 80 gal. tank. I currently have around 70 pounds of live rock and my tank has cycled with all levels doing fine. I have really tried to be patient and get as much information as I can. My question is, of the following fish which ones can I put in my tank? together? how many total of each fish? how many would be ok to keep a healthy tank? Also what kind of cleaning crew can I have with these fish?
royal gramma 1"
2- perc clowns 1" ea
flame angel 3"
emperor angel 3"
pearlscale butterfly 3"
yellow tang 2" ( will upgrade tank whithin a year or 2)
blue hippo tang 1"
green dragonet mandarin 2" (is 70 pounds of live rock enough? can you purchase kopopods?)
fire fish goby 2"

I suggest waiting on the madarin, they tend to not do well in new tanks as your pod population will not be sufficient to sustain him.

Ya, the mandarin needs an established tank due to the fact it's primary diet is pods for the most part, and pods only come with an established tank. Some mandarins will eat brine shrimp, but brine shrimp are not healthy as a stable food - they don't contain any nutrition.
I agree with the yellow tang over the blue.
Out of the angels I'd only add the flame angel
Basically, if you ahve to ask if a tank is overstocked, your walking on nails. Even if your feet survive, they won't look as pretty as they would normally. (haha, my feet look ugly to begin with - stupid pool
)

If my memory serves me right, for some reason my dad always had bad luck with purple tangs... could be wrong though :notsure:
Is this going to be a reef tank or a fish only tank?

would they do good 2gether?

Possibly if the tank is large enough, if you plan on putting them in the 55 gallon then i would say no...the emperor gets HUGE!!
