Well, I just got a 46 gallon bow front the other day. What I have currently is an Algae Blenny, Blue Sided Fairy Wrasse, and a Coral Beauty. What I would like to add would be a 4 Stripe Damsel, or any damsel you guys would recommend.(I don't want the Yellow Tails) Also I would like to know of some Butterflies that are reef safe. Thanks.

I would not add any damsels. They are very territorial and aggressive. I would not add any butterfly to a 46 either.

My friend has had a really bad experience with them. He had seven and in a week seven of them died because they would scratch themselves on the rocks, and they didn't have ich.

That behavior is a sign of parasitic infection - not necessarily ich

Those are cool, but I don't want any more slender looking fish. I would like something with an oval shape like a Tang or Butterfly.

My dwarf angle has pretty color, that might be okay in a 46 gallon, its only about 4 inches, mines in a 60 gallon bowfront.
Also, i adore my new flame hawkfish, its not too slender, but it does hang out on the bottom.
I would not add any damsels, their so cute and cheap when their little, but you will want them out in 6 months and catching them is a huge hassle, i had three, and just had to remove one. Plus, you will be emotionally attached to it after a while, and will have a hard time getting rid of them, i did.

I think for what you're looking for a Bangaii cardinal is your best choice, how long has the coral beauty been in the tank though? That might turn out to be a problem, the cardinal is a very docile fish.
