fish load for jbj 24 deluxe

Kind of new to the hobby. I have 8 chromis 3 stripped damsels, 1 clown, and 3 anemones. Along with 2 brittle stars and 10 snails. Question is, am I nearing my fish load? All fish total under 12 inches in length. I am very Koi savy and know the correct ratios between gallons and fish inches in a pond. Any help would be great. Thank you.

You've already passes your fish bioload. A general guideline is 1" of fish per 5 gallons of water. I'd remove the 3 damsels and at least 3 of the chromis. The damsels would turn out to be evil little devils once they grow bigger anyways.
What kind of anemones do you have? The 72 watts of light in the JBJ 24g isn't enough to support any hosting species of anemones IMO.

They are pink tipped hatian anemonies. Of course the tropical fish store where I bought them told me that the lights I have would be "perfect". This "expert" also told me that with the chromis the more the merrier. " They are schooling fish that would thrive in your small tank".

Oh, is there any way of increasing the fish load in a tank this small? I've heard that bi-valves will take out nitrites.

A skimmer would help remove the organics before they degrade in the water. Also the filter in the back of the nano cube can be turned into a refugium with macro for nutrient export if you retrofit a light over it. Bivalves do take out some nitrates, but IMO not in any significant amounts.
I have a 36 gallon with a CPR bakpak skimmer and I'm still weary about putting more than 4 fish in it.

Thanks for all of the info. I check all of my levels daily and so far so good. Looks like I'm in for a bigger tank. Although my friend just purchased the same nano cube I think I'll send him a few chromis.

Gave all fish except damsels to friend with a larger tank, I kept all inverts and added a LMB. I'm happy to say that my ammonia and nitrites are at zero and the nitrates are on the fast track down. Pics to follow.
