i was just wondering on how many fish can you put in, like lets just say a 75 gal. for the sake of this conversation? let's also say that you would be putting in corals and all the nine yards, how many fish? what is the general rule of thumb that most people follow by in adding fish in their tank?
thanks, ........oh......would anyone mind posting up their tank pictures so i can kindof get an idea of how a "reef tank" looks like or a "fish only" tank looks like!:)

I'm not possitive but I think the general rule of thumb is 1" of fish per 5 gallons of water. So if you have a 75 gallon tank you shouldn't have more than 15" of fish total.

Just a reminder that the size should be counted in adult size. It also depends on what kind of setup you have and what kind of fish you wanna keep. I guess you can't really have 15 1" triggerfish in a 75.

Yes that is true that you wouldn't want 15 1" triggers but I haven't seen a trigger yet that only get 1" as an adult. Like you said it is the size they get as an adult and triggers get much bigger than 1". It is also true that aggressive fish such as triggers are very messy eaters and should be kept in 75 and up tanks.
