How can a damsel be kind and feirce at the same time?
Exactly what did a Damsel and a Coral goby do to make you think it is kind?
What makes you think a clownfish is grumpy and the other sad?
I'm not picking on you...it's just a little amused chuckle on my part. Big fish eat little fish....all any fish in our tank does is eat and figure out what territory is theirs, and how to defend it. They find interesting ways to go about it, which in my personal opinion makes the entertainment as long as nobody is getting hurt...but actual emotion of grumpy, sad, kind...I don't think so.
Now I will admit the natural look on a certain fishes face may indeed give an illusion of emotion, the fire fishes mouth for example is down making a frown.
My Sea horses have a behavior that cracks me up...the little top fins beside their faces flutter when they challenge another male, or try and get the females attention...that behavior reminds me of children putting their open hands on the side of their faces wiggling their tongue and fingers and going Boobboobboob acting silly...but believe me they are dead serious, regardless of how funny it looks..

Well basically the coral goby kind of escorts other fish if they get chased away from somewhere(strange) i sort of see that as kind but it could be something diffrent
. The clown fish grumpy since he seems to always patrol the whole of the 52 gal and go up to the other ones and sort of push them away. The other clowns sad since they just stay as far away as possible from any fish even the timid royal gramma or the cleaner shrimp the damsel i dont know why i put that

Ah...I was just ribbing you a little. We love our fish for whatever joy, sometimes we can't even put our fingers on what it is that makes us so happy with them, some folks don't want a pet thay can't handle and stroke...so you see your fish as having human emotion, I love it.
LOL...maybe you consider the Damsel kind for not killing the new guy and letting him stay.

I will add to your list lol.
Purple Tang - chilled exception of supper time, steal her food, your in for a fight.
Regal Blue Tang - Sneaky pig of a eater that steals from everyone then hides in between rocks and sleeps sideways on the floor.
Red Corris wrasse - Rebel without a cause, flip everything for no reason and create more and more work for the kind owner. (me)
Humu Humu Trigger & Clown Trigger- More like a friendly dog with a HUGE appetite. They will do tricks for your amusement even though sometimes it's bit annoying.
Clown fish & purple pseudo - fiery little guy with Napoleon complex will fight for his territory.
Queen Angel - She's a queen, don't mess with her or else it's off with your head.
Blue Angel - Acts like a queen but isn't. More chilled version.
Flame Angel - Very passive but can't sit still.

My Blonde Naso Tang is my baby. She really only wants to eat if I feed her, and even then, she wants to eat from my hand. If anyone dares try to come near my hand while she's near it, she's like a guard dog.
My combtooth Blenny is the peacekeeper. Any time two fish fight, he gets in between them. It's really amusing.
My Yellow Coris is an ******** decorator that has decided snails look better on their backs
My PJ Cardinals are the night owls. They're mellow all day, but once those lights are off, boy do they zip around the tank.
Bullet Banded Sleeper Goby has a "yeah what?!?" attitude. He will look right at me and then go burry a coral with sand. He needs to be reminded that if he had both his eyes still, he wouldn't be in the tank.
My Ocellaris clownfish = horny teenagers left home alone for the weekend

3 spot domino damsel- always up for a fight....
clarkii clown- I'm shy, but if you bother me you'll sure know!

Flower you brought a chuckle to me also, "Exactly what did a Damsel and a Coral goby do to make you think it is kind?". Maybe he didn't eat the last piece of mysis shrimp and let the Royal gramma have it.
Chevron Tang - Berger always looking for my next meal
Hippo Tang - I like Travelerjp98 description
Pair of Ocellaris clownfish - loners want to stay in corner without no one to enter
saddle back & lattice butterflies - hunters they go threw anything in anywhere to find food
coral banded shrimp - just like a chiwawa dog all bark no bite.

I agree it's quite hard to renew a thread... especially like this one because even though it was a clever idea, once most of the comon fish are listed... there's not that much more to talk about on the thread.
