Fish Selection Help

Hello all!
I have a 30 gallon tank that I have had up and running for about 4 months now. I would like to make it into a reef tank, but I am really trying to take things kind of slow. I am kind of looking for suggestions as to what fish I can put in there. So far I have about 10 hermit crabs and about 15 snails. Any ideas?
Thanks!!

Maybe start off with Clown or a Chromis. Alot of people add pairs of clowns at once, as well as multiple Chromis.

A LIONFISH WILL EAT WHAT EVER IT CAN FIT INTO ITS MOUTH, SOME PEOPLE SAY IF YOU FEED THEM ENOUGH THEY WONT GO AFTER YOUR SMALLER FISH
MY NEIGHBOR HAS ONE AND HE FEEDS IT EVERYOTHER DAY AND IT STILL MADE A SNACK OUT OF HIS DAMSELS :happyfish

I would avoid putting a Lionfish with any small fish you wish to keep in your tank. Lions are almost always in an aggressive FO type setup with larger fish like triggers, tangs, wrasses, puffers, etc.
