Fish stuck in powerhead

Ok. I have never had this happen so I don't know what to say or do. My brothers 75g has a p. puffer and it got stuck on a powerhead. The power head IS NOT a great big powerful one, BUT, the fish did get stuck non the less. It is still alive, obviously stressed out, and has a circuliar wound. What can I do if anything to help him out? I have put some "stress" stuff in there, but now what? Will the puffer probably die? Any help would be great. Thanks.
BTW, I fixed the powerhead so it will NEVER suck anything up again, put a spongefilter, big uglly thing, but better that than a 90 dollar fish.

Hello. We had a 3-4 inch stars n stripes puffer get his face(lips and cheek area) stuck because the foam fell off. 3 years later he's 12 inches big. Keep good spirits for him, i think they know.
