Fish stung?

I looked in my tank this morning and my mandarin was floating at the top of the tank. It was not moving except for it's side fins. The powerheads were blowing it around the tank like as if it was dead. I turned off my somp knowing it would get sucked in.
I left the house for a few hours and prepared myself to dispose of it when I returned.
I get home and it is back to normal!
Did something sting it that might have temperarily paralized it?
Any ideas?

bristle worms,a long tip anemone, and a brittle star. I think that is it that might sting or do such damage.
I had seen him behind the anemone about 10 minutes before I found him floating. Makes me feel like it was the culperate.
