Fish that eats amphipods

Heres my situation. My 24 gallon is just starting to get some expensive zoanthids in it, and my coral beauty has recently taken a taste to it. Therefore, hes being evicted.
My other problem is the amphipods. They eat some zoanthids and hurt the polyps and tear em up. This only happens when I get a frag/colony with some hurt ones on it already, but they finish up the job.
What can I get thats suitable fora 24 gallon sps/lps/zoanthid tank, and thatll eat the amphipods?

If it's a solo fish setup, sixline should work.
I agree. You could also setup a frag tank to grow your zoas out just enough that any dead ones won't be around to tempt the amphipods.

Forgot to mention Ive got a 2-3" maroon clown in there as well. Ive wanted a sixline for a while, do they dwell mostly in the rocks? If he does then it would work because the clown does not go in there and theres a great deal of holes and caves inside.

I already considered that but I have no more room

They cruise in and out of the rocks all day. If there's ample caves, and move behind/under/in the rocks, they'll spend a good bit of time there.
The Maroon might not be to willing for a new tankmate though. But I don't see any problems the other way.

The maroon is always cranky about his space, but the wrasse will be fine IMO. He'll love the rocks.

What about a flasher wrasse or something like that? What about the "yellow coris wrasse"? I really like them, and love the color!

flashers need alot of room to swim, even for the're size they need atleast four foot of swimming room. Unless you are attached to the maroon clown I would get rid of him, with the size of your tank he is bound to start a scrap, plus they get large for a clown, think of the bioload, of a 5in fish

Yea true. I was kind of hoping mine would turn out to be a male so that they didnt get too big, the females get large.
