Fish Veterinarian

I don't know if I'm the only person in the world that listens to National Public Radio, but did anyone hear the story about the fish veterenarian that installed a cork on the goldfish so it could swim upright again and have a better quality of life? I'm just curious to hear what people thought about that. Here's the link where you can listen to the story and see pictures of the corked fish.

I think I'm going to ask him to fabricate a glass eye for my whiteskirt tetra. I think the rest of the school has been making fun of her.

alomaloM, Just don't get any ideas about bringing a corked fish to me next evening out...the cat phee was quite enough thank you.
Maybe I could get some artificial gill covers for my blakc skirt tetras....did you buy yours from AW that way or did it just happen? I would take pitty on the mutants and buy them.

I thought a corked black moore would be the perfect addition to your misfit tank Ophiura! Don't worry about the cork biodegrading, I'm using an artificial cork from a cheap bottle of wine! It's quite classy if you ask me!
Also, regarding the purchase of less than perfect fish out of sympathy, surely you must have noticed by now that I am far too shallow to do such a thing!

well if you have a glass eye put onto your fish then you will also need the cork to keep him upright from the weight of the glass eye lol
