I may set up a 20-40 gallon FOWLR tank soon. I found some fish I like, and that are reasonably priced. This is my first tank, and I was wondering if you have any info on any of them, which ones go with which, tanks size ok, good for beginners, in what order should I add them, etc. Thanks!
Midas Blenny
Coral Beauty
Blue Reef Chromis
False Percula Clown
Tomato Clown
Firefish
Royal Gramma
Strawberry Gramma
Note: I don't plan on adding ALL of these to my tank! :D

from the fish you said you liked i would get:
1coral beauty
2f.percs
2firefish
1chromis
in a 40gallon make sure you do lots of research before you pick your fish

ditto, but the chromis, i would made chromi(they do much better in groups), also, the firefish try to purchase both at the same time, you really want them to get along from the start, they can react negatively towards others of the same species, unless you have enough to spread out the adversity(six or more) and a 40 would not really be big enough for that size of a shoal(with other fish especially)

they all seem like pretty good choices. the strawberry and royal gramma u might want to pick just 1 of these they are recommended 1/tank and will fight with like species, i agree on the fire fish they should be put in a tank as 1, a pair, or 6 nothing in between because they can have a habit of killing each other off if there are 3-5. the clown 1 species/tank are recomended they would get along fine when younger but get a little more aggressive when older i would go with a pair of tomatoes or pair of perculas but not both, they also do good singly. chromises are great should have at least 3-5 seem to better with more than 1. the blenny is ok with any of these fish. the coral beauty u should add last. they can be aggressive towards new tank mates they establish a territory and like to protect it. sorry this ended up being so long but i have some of these fish myself and plan on adding some of the others later i hope this helps :) :) :)

Good fish choices, but I would go with a larger tank. I have heard a 40 gallon is the hardest tank to start out with if your a begginer and anything smaller may be too small. The larger the tank the easier it is to maintain the levels and will keep your fish happier. Also if you plan on keeping sea anenomes I would not recommend getting the tomatoe clown and the false percula together, the tomatoe clowns can be very aggressive.
