depends
you could always get a pair of true percs .. that is a great 10 gallon pair
or a few small goby's or something

A pair of clowns is fine ..... No tangs in a 10 gallon, it's WAY to small.

first you need to know what you are gonna do with the tank
but i think either way you will need to ditch the media inside the pump/filter
