i bought a longnose hawkfish today. will he be ok with my 2 common clowns, pygmy angel and 3 masked gobies?

Assumming he's still little, yes. Once full grown however they have been known to eat small fish. Probably by the time he is--he'll be so used to your food he won't bother those little fishies. At least you can hope he won't.
