I inherited a 72 Gal Bow front about a year ago. It doesn't have any sand, live rock or coral, just gravel, rock and artificial plants. There is one Parrotfish and he seems to be doing well. I keep adding fresh water as it evaporates often but have not drained or cycled the tank water since it was 1st set up. The specific gravity is at 1.027 and I have no idea what the PH is or any other readings. There is lots of algae on the glass, gravel and rocks and it looks more like Rockaway Beach than a tropic island retreat. I would like to make the tank more attractive and functional without killing the one fish I have. I'm running a Fluval 404 and an Emperor 400 filters. The temperature is at 74 deg farenheit. Any ideas or assistance is greatly appreciated.
