Nice coralline growth. What is your light, what bulbs, and how long has it been up? It looks reddish color, is it red or purple? How long has your tank been up?

Thanks, My lights are 3 175w MH. The bulbs are the same ones I bought with it, and one is a Sylvania, and cant read the name of the other. Not very happy with the colors, but it works. Coralline likes it. Purple, some has more reddish tint to it though. Have had it setup for almost 8 months.

Got an anemone today! I was told it was a bulb anemone, but looked different from the bulb anemone pictures I've seen.
Picture later,

No, picture right now. Sorry. So, while my hood has been off, I thought it was time to do stuff I haven't been able to do with it on.
1. cleaned off sump intakes of algae
Acclimate:
2. frag leather from dads tank <

[hr]
First Frag I've done!!
3. Got mushroom, woods polpys, other polpys from dads tank also.

4. Take out clownfish clip
5. Tick off fish

6.Dust off lights/hood
7. (can do with hood on) cycle tank...

Nice looking tank!! I don't know personally, since I don't run MH, but I have heard and seen that the 20k bulbs do a great job, and really give the tank a nice blue color. Are they supplemented with any CF or T5 actinics, or is it just straight MH?

Thanks, might have to give that a try once I get some $ again. Currently its just straight MH, because the part the VHO section is broken, and yet to be fixed.

Anemone is looking good, and has stayed in the same spot for a while, so I think he/she likes it their. I was wondering, besides food from the algae in its tissue, does/should it be spot feed? Will it help or not? And the coral frags (leather, woods polyps, etc...) are poping out more, and seem to be getting better.

I feed my anemone small pieces of scallop 2x a week....
Do you get that from the local seafood place, or supermarket? I tried to feed my freeze dried krill, but it didn't like that to much. And how to you get it to it, like turkey baster, or hand? Thanks,

Hey fishkid13, where did you get that live rock from? I want to add some to my inside wall aquarium. I have an awesome set-up with clownfish and yellow tangs but the best part is that it is inside my wall. It looks like a living painting. Check them out yourself at www.walltanks.com or www.kooltanks.com. I got the Jumbo myself. I just need some live rock so reply if you know a cheap source.

I am sure the Mods are going to take off the links. I first got the rock from a local man selling base rock that isn't typical "base" or "live" rock. After a few many weeks/months it became "alive" with stuff. Where it comes from, I was not told. But I did get if for, either (cant remember, but I think it is the later) for $1.75 per pound or $.75 per pound.

I buy it frozen from Walmart...the bay scallops are the smaller ones. I defrost a couple of pieces, break a piece off, and feed them using tongs..
