just bought one online to catch my sailfin tang. has anyone ever use one? any good? the one i ordered measures about 11 inches by 6. its got a trap door with a string. my sailfin has developed a taste for clam mantle.

no one hv ever use this to trap an unwanted fish? anyway, i should be getting it tmo in the mail. i will try to bait the tang to go in. i will let u guys know whether this product is any good.

just want to let everyone know i finally caught my salfin tang. i did it with a net too! the trap didnt work at all. here is what i did, so maybe it can help someone in the future. i was observing every night where the tang was sleeping. once it was asleep, i turned on the light. this seemed to shock the tang and it wouldnt move. i then slowly move my net over and scooped it up. he is now in my 150 fowlr.

Ha, Thats Funny! I Just Read Your Post. I Have A Similar Fish Trap And Put My Lettuce Clip With Seaweek Attached To It In The Back Part Of The Trap And My Tang Swam Right In. He Was Used To Eating From The Clip Several Times A Week And Would Jump On The Seaweed The Second Myhand Was Out Of The Way!
