fission skimmer

do any of you use a fission nano skimmer? they're only like $20 and i was debating wheather or not to get one. i hear a lot of mixed results. some people seem to love them and others seem to hate them. what do you think?

i was thinking of making a fuge in the back. that would prolly also help with my nitrate problem. i just dont know how or how to even start. im not too handy with tools or anything and wouldnt want to ruin my whole system.
