Fisson nano skimmer

Has anyone ever used this? Would it be good to use in addition to weekly water changes?

It's trash. Save your money, building a fuge is a better use of the $40.

I had one in my NCD and it was a pain in the but! Hard to adjust and marginal performance. I recently moved and just got my cube back up and I don't know if I'm going to used the skimmer. The effort to pay out ratio isn't worth it to me.

Thanks for the responses...I got the thing for 20 bucks so I'm going to at least try it I guess. I figured it was crap, but if it skims anything I guess it would be slightly beneficial. If not, I'm only out 20 bucks. Besides, I think its cute its so tiny

Can you really avoid the need of a skimmer for the 24 AP with doing 5 gal weekly water changes?

I know a few people in my reef club that have nothing except a lot of LR and a fuge for filtration in their nanos SO IMO skimming on a nano is NOT neccesary. Yes those are complete trash, you can build a better skimmer, look in the new nano DIY thread.
