Fix cracked 45g tank

I have a 45g I was going to use for my sump until I found a small crack in the bottom corner of the tank. Can it be fixed? Or should it be tossed?
Here's my plan:
I want to use 2 pieces of plexi glass, one on each side of the tank, and use locktite glue to seal over the crack.

your better off replacing the pane of glass or tossing the tank, in the bottom corner is a lot of pressure even if the seal holds temporarily the crack may spiderweb up accross the back. chance of success very slim, chance of catastrophic faliure pretty good.

If its glass use silicone to repair it. I would replace the pain though. It shouldnt be too hard. It might just be easier to find another used tank though.

....I thought as much.....now I need to pull $90 bucks out of the left over detrius around here. Thanks for the input, at least I won't be mopping up 45 gallons of sump water
