i have him in a quarantine tank right now, and he keeps going to his side. i bought him earlier today and floated him for 20 minutes. he seemed ok after, but we went out and came back home an hour later and he is hurting.
i keep reviving him by poking at him gently when he goes to his side. should i just let him be or what? anyone with help???

What were your acclimation procedures? Notice any other physical symptoms? Heavy breathing?

yes, he is laboring in his breathing. i have a hang on quarantine chamber that i put him in with the water from the fish store. and put the chamber in my water, floating it.

basically, should i keep him moving or just let him be? if i let him be, he falls to his side. if you keep a fish moving, will they eventually come to?

No, don't move him. You are most likely only stressing him furthur and taking up energy that could be used to survive.

thanks michelle. i'll just let him be and see what happens...i don't know if i acclimated him wrong.

well, he's laying on his side right now and breathing pretty hard...afraid its not too much longer for him.

Explain the HOT QT more. Does it have its own filtration and circulation ? Is it still in LFS water ? Is it shaded from main tank lights and some PVC pipe ect. for the fish to get in ? Have you tested the QT water ?

its just a regular plastic container with holes in it. it has my tank water in it...no filtration system in it. looks like its too late anyway. the flame angel is on his side and is starting to breathe slower...next time i guess i will acclimate any fish better.
