Flame angel: Love Hate Relationship

I have just added a flame angel to my tank and I love him to death, he is/was my favorite fish in my aquarium. Unfortunately I have a reef aquarium and I hoped I would be fortunate enough to not have a reef picker. Not the case...He has caused numerous lesions to my brain coral.
-Is there something I can do to discourage him from nipping?
-Which should be exiled: the angel or the brain?
-Is there any guaruntee that if I remove the brain he will find something else to pick at?

Well you have picked one of the most prominant fish to pick at your reef.....these fish are notorious for eating at live rock and corals....theres nothing that you can really do, except either make your tank a FO or remove the Flame Angel.
