Flame Angel Questions

Hello everybody. I had asked this question a couple of days ago, but for some reason it's all screwed up...when you click on my topic, it goes to somebody else's topic! Anywho...I would like to someday get a Flame Angel, they are so cool looking! Has anyone here ever had problems with one in a reef tank? I've read they can damage corals. Is this a myth? Any tips would be great!
Thanks.

I've never had one myself....personally I keep a coral beauty. But they do need a well established/mature/stable system...they like a diet of green stuff(they'll pick at algae from the lr )... and they are known to nip and pick at corals. Some have managed to keep them in reefs and others have had major problems.Truth is it seems dwarfs are hit and miss when it comes to bothering corals...but they are beautiful fish!

I have a flame in my 120 gallon reef. I have had it for nearly three years now and have never seen it pick at any of my corals. I love it. If you have the means, I highly recommend getting one.

Thanks everybody! I know the sellers at this website say they are safe, but I've heard different stories from other sites. I want one so bad...such beautiful fish!

I have owned two flames and two coral beautys. Both in my 55 gal reef. (added at the same time so they would get along). Lost the first two to a power outage when the O2 level dropped too far, and replaced them with the current pair. Maybe I'm jsut lucky, but neith pair of Dwarfs ever picked at any of my corals, but don't I wish they'd eat some Xenia! ;)
