Flame angel with Ick. I have LR , LS and Inverts.. Help!!

Ok I have a Flame angel wioth ick and I was reading all of the post about ick. I was wondering what I should exactly do with my tank? I have Live sand , LIve rock, And lots of Inverts. I used Greenex and was not pleased Ithink it killed alot of my fish to be honest, Anyway Should I just lower the salinity and feed them Garlic? I can use the help I dont want to lose anything again. Im all ears for eveyones suggestions..

You CAN NOT lower salinity in a tank with LR or LS. Nor should you have used Greenx.
You must setup up a separate hospital tank for your fish, and move them there to begin the hyposalinity treatment. In the meantime, if you have carbon filtration, then use it on your main tank to get rid of the medication that you put in there.
There are seveal current and active post going on in this forum on the procedures for hyposalinity, if you need help with that. However, if needed, post back. Yes, feed your fish garlic soaked food.

hey, I to have a flame angel that is just getting over ick and popeye! I just tought you might want to know that you should NOT lower your salinity in a tank with LR, LS and inverts as this would not be good for them!! Don't know if you knew that or not but just wanted to make sure! But, Beth told me to use low salinity and garlic on my flame and so far it has worked great but he is in a hospital tank. Also, this is just my personal opinion,but I would do a partial water change about 20% or so to get some of that greenX out of you tank! I just don't like it, had to many friends fish die from it! Anyway hope i have helped!

Thanks for the 2 responses, I figured that I should do what you say, but Just wanted to make sure. I did not use the greenex, I used it in the past and it seemed to cause some death in the tank. Should I just take water out of the maintank to start the hospital tank? Thanks

wouldn't that just transfer the ick to the hospital tank?!
