currently i have 1 yellow tang, 1powder brown tang, 2fire gobies ,1 mandarin, and 4 clowns(from the same litter). they're in a 90dt with 170lbs of LR. i want to get a flame angel but was hoping compatibility would be good. i will mention that i had a flamback angel and had to get rid of him because when i brought the 4 clowns in he was tormenting them to no end. i will also say the yellow tang is the dominant fish right now although the powder brown likes to chase the fire gobies now and then. so with that all said do you "the experts" think a flame angel will work ???????????? thanx..walt

i dont see why not it would be ok. BUT a word of warning i had a dwarf flame angel before and they r very competitive eaters and he would smack my clowns around while eating so id personally feed the clowns but thats me.

You should be fine with the Flame angel. I have a yellow tang and hippo tang as my dominant fish. I also have 4 clowns. I added the flame last (with the hippo). The yellow tang chases the flame occasionally, but never catches it. Make sure the flame you pick is very healthy. I have heard if the flame lasts 3 days you should be good to go.

I agree; but please remember; there are very few sure things in the "fish compatibility" area. Fish have tiny brains, but still have individual personalities.. A good example is the experience with your flameback being harassed; while mine is the most dominant dwarf angel I've ever seen.
