it depends on the individual fish. mine doesnt, bc i see sponges all over my tank.

They might, but not necessary, as in the same respect that you must feed sponge to large angels. Dwarf angels diets consist of mostly filamentous algae, and then a minor %, meaty foods such as pods. In your aquarium, they do make dwarf angel geared foods, but a general frozen block form food that contains algae, almost always spirulina, is key, and then mysis/cyclopeeze.
