If this tank is not established i would refrain from buying an angel! They are hard to keep i ever fluctuating "new" systems. Save your money wait until you have the tank goin for a year, then move onto the more expensive fish. Angels are heavy grazers and need growth on the rock.

The most most important of buying a angel either dwarf or full-sized species is that they need stable, excellent water conditions! Some seem to be very hardy once acclimated but new addition need to q'ed and watched for signs of disease! But if you have had your tank up usually for about six months, thenn you should be fine with a flame angel! Good fishkeeping ;)

I can help here.
I talk in depth with both my LPS and with a number of distributors in Cal (when I am working out there) and the issue is more about howe they are captured.
Christmas Island Flame Angels are usually more expensive because they have been net captured for years where other places have used cyanide. I believe the prices are better now beause less places are using cyanide.
If you have a good price from *********** then go for it. A Christmas Flame is in my tank right now.
Remember to QT all new arrivals.
