as for the cbs, not sure, but hawks fav is shrimp, may depend on the size of the shrimp and hawk, as for the anemones, flamehawks generally like them for cover and play, so your damsel may have a prob there

Some hawkfish will actually use an anemone as a host, like a clown fish. So that is o.k. As for the coral banded, it is hit and miss whether it will try to eat it or leave it alone.
Shrimp size has nothing to do with this equation, unless it is a hideously huge shrimp and a scrawny hawkfish. Even if the shrimp can't fit into the hawkfishes mouth, the hawkfish will more than likely flip it over and attack it's softer undersides!
