I have both and the scallop has positioned itslef directly underneath the rbta and that section of the anemone seems to be sickly is this just a coincidence?

About all I know about the flame scallop is that they are hard to keep due to the phytoplankton and zooplankton requirements for them to survive. In other words they need heavy feedings of these two things. Most are very short lived because they don't get the proper nutrition.
I've never heard of them having the power to sting, but like I said I don't know much about them.
