Flame Scallops

I've just received a couple of flame scallops with my clean-up crew. What do these things eat? How do they move around the tank? My wife asked me if they move, I said no and when we came home, one of them was in the back of the tank and has moved again.

they are pretty hard to feed and usually dont last long in the aquarium. they likke to filter feed very small sized food and its hard to provide them the correct size food. i had 2 for about 5 months and they both died i think. i know one died since i saw the empty shell, but the other one was in the back of my lr and there is no way to see if it is still alive. there is no way to keep them in one spot. mine would move evry week or 2.

I have had one for a couple months now and it moved right to the back of my liverock. It moves by a "leg" that comes out of the mouth and pushes itself. I also have heard that they don't last long due to feeding problems.
