We just got the flamehawk from a friend shutting down their tank. The other fish with the flamehawk had died from ich (cowfish had it and died, she medicated the tank with an ich med; second fish died -flamehawk has survived since then, about 6-8 weeks, with no signs of ich.) I did a freshwater dip on the flamehawk when I got him today and put him into the QT. We will now do hyposalinity on the QT tank for 5-6 weeks to make sure he doesn't carry ich to our DT.
Our friend brought a small piece of LR and a couple of hermit crabs. I am not sure what to do about all this... I know neither will survive hypo, and I don't think I should put them into the DT. They're in the bag with her tank water right now... any ideas on what to do with these?
