Flat Anemone ...

Has anyone ever heard of a flat anemone ? My LFS has 3 or 4 of them in his tank for sale. I've never heard of them before.

Any info on their care, difficulty level, lighting requirements, etc ... will be appreciated.

does it look like a carpet anemone? (do a search to look at them if youve never seen one)

It's probably Heteractis aurora, also known as beaded anemone.

maybe a rock anemone... they're kinda flat

He had 3 for sale - all in same tank - a white one, a brown one, and white with pink or light purple tips. They were all labelled as Flat Anemones and each are about 3-4 inches in diameter. They also had short tenacles (spelling?) not long ones.

Kinda sounds like different kinds in a tank... how sketchy is the LFS?

maybe they were rock, flower anemones kinda smooth in the middle with tentacles on the outside ????

Flat anemone is a common name for Heteractis aurora.

THANK YOU, Viper ! That's what exactly I was trying to find out. They did look like the common name for Heteractis aurora.
