Flattend cucumber?

My black knobby cucumber looks flat. Nothing fell on him or anything, at first I thought he was dead, but he isn't. It looks like somebody stepped on him <img src="graemlins//confused2.gif" border="0" alt="[confused2]" /> Has anybody else had this happen to their cucumber? Is this normal?

Don't let the cuke die in your tank! They release a toxin when stressed or dead, and while not as devestating as a full size sea apple, my personal experience is that a dead cuc can be enought to kill a fragile fish along with it (lost a Coral Beauty a day after my cuc went).
I would scoop some sand and put it in quarantine. NOt everyone will necessarily agree with me on this, I'm sure, but I would rather be safe than sorry.
