I noticed a bunch of red flat worms in my tank. I am considering my options. Will Flatworm exit kill off pods and other beneficial critters?

nope, but when flatworms die they will release toxins in the water and that can kill things. So siphon as many out as possible before hand. And then use it and be ready after an hour or so to do a water change, then do water changes every day or every other for 3 days - a week depending on how many you have. This is just stuff i have heard and i think would be your best bet for not losing anything.

or you can just deplete the pod population, and they will go away on their own safely. i think THIS is the best bet for not losing anything.
